WOMENS SENIOR COACH
VICTOR SEKULOV

Exciting News as Rosebud Soccer Club appoint their Senior Womens coach for the 2025 season.

President John Grbac has formally announced the appointment of Victor Sekulov as the Senior Womens coach for the 2025 season. Victor will also take on the responsibility of Coaching Director for all the club’s female teams.

Victor Sekulov comes to us with over 20 seasons of coaching female experience across a spectrum of competitions, from senior women’s Victorian Premier League to all divisions of State league as well as from U 12’s to U 18’s. Victor not only participated in FFV/FFA coaching courses for C Licence, Senior, Youth and Junior Licences he also partook in special coaching courses run by FFA under Hans Berger (FFA Coaching coordinator), Tom Sermanni (former Matildas coach) and others.

From an administration side Victor was elected to represent the NorthWest region in the FFV Womens Steering Committee that oversaw the creation and redefining of rules and regulations governing girls football that are in place today. In addition, Victor has been invited to a number of FFV run meetings to discuss the progress and state of female football in Victoria and the barriers and wins that girls and clubs face. He has been invited to attend FFA conferences on female football in Australia with the CEO of FFA, Alen Stajcic (then Matilda coach), ex Matildas and FIFA delegates in attendance.

Victor is a champion of player development and has a keen eye for identifying talent and helping develop them to successfully play in a higher age group or assisting them to attain NPL standard. As coach of junior girls teams he has been instrumental in seeing many mature and be capable of playing senior women’s football.

Victor’s coaching philosophy is best summed up by his two non-negotiable rules – 1. Play good football and 2. Have fun. With his vast experience both in coaching terms but also with player development and clubadministration Victor brings to the club that long term strategy and thinking into his role and with a view to not only the now but also the future.
